Baba's Back!

Over the past year (yes, year!) we have seen nearly every industry affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic, and for us in the wedding industry it has been tough, but as the new roadmap comes into play we can finally say that weddings are back - YAY! And what a perfect time to be back, Spring is finally here…

After such a long and hard British winter, it’s so lovely to see everything revived and fresh again in the Springtime, a season that we adore for weddings. We welcome back the start of longer and lighter days, fresh blooming flowers, Easter weekend celebrations and, of course, lots of delicious seasonal foods ready to delve into.

This Spring also brings us small, intimate weddings. There is something more personal and romantic about a smaller wedding, with just your closest family and friends. Reducing the amount of guests at your wedding may also enable you to spend a little extra on the details of your wedding: beautiful flowers, decor and and most importantly good food and wine - just some of the things you may have previously had to compromise on!

Our bespoke sharing feast menu is perfect for this time of year, it features spiced pulled lamb paired with luscious, vibrant salads, and a rhubarb creme brulee to finish (just to name a few). This style of catering embraces a more relaxed yet fun feel to your day. We are aware of the worry surrounding the idea of incorporating sharing elements to your special day in these unpredictable times, but here at Baba, we can put your mind at rest. Our sharing feasts are usually shared between 6-8 guests, and for this we can provide each guest with individual tongs, so there will be no need to change your menu according to the current climate - result!

Working seasonally offers a plethora of opportunities to explore the ever-changing tastes, colours and textures found in nature. From our perspective, we are very fortunate to be in the heart of Yorkshire where we have a fantastic larder of produce and suppliers right on our doorstep. We love to incorporate delicious seasonal and local foods into our menu, whether its lamb, wild garlic, asparagus, or rhubarb - these are just a few of our favourites! We always encourage our clients to try and design a menu that is within season to make their wedding feast even more memorable and tasty!

What we’re up to this Spring…
